Olumbe Akinkugbe is a law graduate and tech expert who has spent over 20 years working with the largest Technology companies in the world like Cisco Systems and Dell.

Today, he serves our country as an Executive Director at Galaxy Backbone, where he was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to head the Technology Services team and Galaxy Backbone ltd under the Federal Ministry of Communications Information and Digital Economy.

Beyond the big offices, Olumbe’s heart is with his people in Ondo. He was responsible for the set-up of the "Digital Villages Project" in rural areas to train over 2,000 youths in modern skills. Understanding the lack of access to rural market men and women he regularly gives out cash grants to market traders to help their small businesses grow.

From rebuilding the Bagbe road and market to bringing a 5MW power project to Ondo town, Olumbe is a leader who gets his hands dirty to get things done. He believes that technology should be a tool to Drive socio-economic development in his community and Nigeria at large.
